F-15c and FC3 all kinds of issues

Total noob here. I just got this game. I bought the F-15c cuz I wanted something with outstanding performance. I was just starting to get the hang of it, even shot a plane down. well i decided to buy Flaming cliffs 3 module. I bought it last night got it activated then went to bed. This morning all kinds of issues with the game. cant turn radar on. cant pause. cant cycle thru modes, nothing!

it flies ok but nothing else works. Also for some reason my mouse wont do anything but move.

i have to bring up task manager then go back to the game to be able to select anything. That has been an issue from day 1. Any ideas on how i fix all that? or what caused it to do that? many thanks! I've tried restarting computer but that did not help.

Welcome to DCS and the forum, thanks for your purchase.

 

Is DCS window the active window? are you running full screen?

 

Sometimes if DCS is not the active window inputs will not work.

 

Also try refreshing and redoing your inputs.

 

You can delete your inputs here C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input

 

restart dcs and redo your controls

That thought about there being some sort of conflict with the F15 crossed my mind. I bet you are right. I'll do as you suggested. many thanks!

TYVM for the warm welcome. I will try that if Nikola's suggestion does not work. The only things running are DCS and Track IR pro. and yes fullscreen is on. Nice rig!

so after all that time reinstalling DCS and fc3 module only. did not install the standalone f15c. it is still doing exactly what i had trouble with. went to instant action and tried cycle weapons bvr mode no friggin radar etc etc.... lol omg! @bignewy how do i tell if dcs is the active screen? the cursor goes behind the dcs window. the only way to exit dccs is control alt delete.

 

@bignewy can you walk me through your suggestion? I dont know what to do.

oh just noticed saved games. since I reinstalled that is no longer relevant?

 

crap guys wtf? standalone f15 worked just fine before i got fc3.

I found out what the problem is. there are no input keys. fc3 removed all key bindings. why on earth would it do that? so now i have the fun task of redoing keys fml. gah......

I am barely familiar with DCS this should be fun. sigh

Since installing FC3 is taking over standalone modules in DCS you can then uninstall and remove F-15C in module manager. Only downside will be constant reminder that you didn't download it yet :)
