Nealius Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 I was fooling around in the Hornet the other day, improv "airshow" around Liwa AB, and found that the sonic boom audio would play at transonic speeds. Weather: Dynamic, 30C, 29.96 Low altitude flyby between 0.96 and 0.99 Mach. I never hit 1.00 Mach, yet during the replay there was a sonic boom during the flyby. It seems to be reproducible for me. I have the original track file, but it's quite long. Can anyone else confirm?
ED Team btd Posted November 2, 2019 ED Team Posted November 2, 2019 Please make a track. Preferably short :) Perhaps your camera was moving toward the plane, increasing speed between objects. Best regards, Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou (btd) https://soundcloud.com/btd
Emmy Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Viper does the same thing at around the same speeds... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.476vfightergroup.com/content.php High Quality Aviation Photography For Personal Enjoyment And Editorial Use. www.crosswindimages.com
