Mr. Wilson Posted November 5, 2019 Author Posted November 5, 2019 Yes we know they will work on it.. Problem is when they do correct things. They don't post anything about it. So we are always left wondering what was fixed and what wasn't. Next thing we know. We got a 800kn aircraft on the deck. Taking a serious downgrade in engine umph, since last patch (With not so much of a mention of FM changes) not even breaking 700 knots now on the deck at full burner. Now that's all cool and understandable. But there has litterally been no mention to any flight model changes in the logs at all. So every patch Im forced to run tests to see what broke this patch. Before I can set up any missions in it. absolutely, it annoys me too
Fri13 Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 When "Mover" said that he don't know is it problem in thrust, or problem in drag, the point was that in his feeling based to his experience something is off. That is a sign to recheck values and test them if not already done by ED and knowledge such thing from the start. That just means we need to come back to it in a year period... i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.

Before I can set up any missions in it. This is the reason why I stopped flying the F-16 for nowadays. I don't want to let the incomplete flight model to change my feelings about the aircraft. I understood this very well, after I tried few overhead pattern landings and simple maneuvers. For me the FM is the most import thing in an aircraft because I love physics and science in general. The FM for me is far more important than any weapon, any graphical detail or avionics. I am not complaining, I am just saying this because I am still thankful to ED that they released the Viper too early so we somehow overcome our curiosity. If I am not satisfied with anything, I assume that it is not released yet at all :)

Dee-Jay Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 (edited) Hi! New to the forums, can we post links to images of that kind of RL acceleration/weight data? Or is that against forum rules? The rule mentioned by Bignewy makes completely sens here. But as an alternative, if you search for "F-16 HFFM" (No classified nor confidential information used ...) , I think you can safely rely on it as a relatively accurate reference. I would be surprised if this document is not already well known to the DCS F-16 development crew. Regards. 13WELT_JankeS Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) I think a recording like this is a huge mine of data to check the behavior of the F-16C in an empty configuration : And a beautiful example of condensation streaks arising on wings and bending wings at high G.
