Many control binds not working when flying campaign

I have a very strange issue when trying to fly the "the border" campaign. Many key binds do not work, not even the default ones like switching to the flight engineer position, gunner, throttle controls etc. The problem is not there when flying regular missions, or multiplayer, and i'm not sure what it is related to. The controls show up as bound in the control setup, and respond to inputs while in that menu but as soon as i'm switching back into the cockpit I get no response from pressing the keys/buttons.

Game/sim mode problem? Maybe the campaign forces sim mode and your controls are defined for game mode.

i have not flown without full sim mode since over 2 decades back. Unless DCS has changed something without my knowledge I don't think that is the problem.

Just checked the campaign that comes with the module and it i the same there.

Haven't flown any of the Mi-8 campaigns, but for example in L-39 training missions player is locked to front cockpit position (with its controls) and cannot switch because of immersion/realism reasons - you're supposed to impersonate particular crew member only.

 

Maybe it's the same in campaigns you mentioned?

Try renaming your inputs for the Mi8 and doing a fresh set, do you see a difference?

 

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\mi-8mt

 

rename it, ( keep it as a backup ) we can change it back afterwards if we need to.
