how do i check whether i hav the us or uk version of lock on?

it doesnt say on the box.

 

is this info available in game?

 

i have 1.1 trying to download 1.12b.

AFAIK , for Lock-On there is a Russian, English, French or German version available, for FC it's either Russian or English language and for the 1.12b patch, you just have to care about either the CD- or DL-version of FC

Hmm, i *think* the UK version is called "Lock on: Air Combat Simulation", but in the US it's called "Lock On: Modern Air Combat".

Actually there is a separate patch for Gold cd owners in the UK

 

edit: make that UK, France & Germany. Why won't the forum display the same attachment in more than one thread? Shouldn't have to remove and re-upload the same attachment to show it again. Also- when I use the upload tool- I can't see any thumbnails of what I already have on here without exiting the reply, and going into an entriely separate menu to view them.

and i dunno where they come from here in india.

 

there is no way tht a company can put the download version on a disk and sell it right? so tht would mean this is flaming cliffs the disc version.

The US box has an ESRB rating. The UK box has a PEGI rating

downloaded - applied it,its working.

 

but why does it check the disc every time i run 1.12? i thought it was supposed to check once a week after patching?

Ermmm.. If you downloaded FC- far as I know there has only ever been 1 patch choice @ lockon.ru- I'm not sure how you could miss this... Also- at least here in the US- I haven't needed the CD in my computer at all for ages. (Download FC owners)

He said he has FC on disc, Kon. I have no idea why it is asking for the disc everytime. It is not supposed to, as far as I have read.

OK I took this to mean he had the download version.

It'll check the hard drive if there's already a Disk in it.

But will only ask once per week if the disk is not in there.
