Is the ILS working 100% on all maps. Yes or No.

When 1st installed I punched in Nellis and it works there. I have seen tutorials of it being used at the other maps. That said I am using the Caucus map and it is not working. There is not really much to screw up and it is a basic task so if you have any info I am sure it will help a lot of us.

Does the F-16 ILS work on ALL maps and at ALL airports with the capability? Thanks :joystick:

Works at Kholki and Batumi, the only ones I've tried.

Thanks. I think I would rather it not work at all than work when it wants to. I will try those but it would be nice to know where it does not work.

That's your choice of course, but in the real world the squadron doesn't disable/remove the receivers just because a transmitter goes out of service somewhere in the AO today. The weather has to get particularly nasty to even make an inop ILS ever scrub a sortie. You can use the opportunity to practice TACAN, visual, or ASR approaches.

I will try those but it would be nice to know where it does not work.

The only sure fire way to know if it's working, in the air, IRL and in DCS, is to hear the appropriate morse code ident from the transmitter.

Before your mission you need to obtain the relevant NOTAMS for inoperative equipment. For DCS you're doing that right now. Look for bug reports on the forums :smilewink: those are your NOTAMS

I can tell you there are frequency conflicts for TACAN stations in the Persian Gulf map. Specifically Bandar Abbas is unavailable for navigation. The other user told you of two operative ILS systems.

Have fun!

ILS Practice Mission - Senaki-Kholki

Here's a mission I use frequently to practice my ILS landings.

Senaki/Kholki Tower freq. = 132.00 (COM2)

TACAN = 31X "TSK"

ILS RW9 = 108.90

CRS = 088

In DCS that usually depends on wind strength and direction as ATC will switch runway (direction) and not all airports have ILS for both.

Also note that DCS 2.5.x is bugged and light headwinds (or tailwinds) of 1-6 knot can cause DCS's ATC to wrongly disable ILS for the active runway.
