crazyeddie Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Does anyone know how to get rid of the high viz markings on the F4-E, highlighted in red ?
Black_Hawk Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Just a guess - the yellow markings are a .tga file so they have alpha channel. If you find the file and remove the alpha visibility then you won't see the marks (theoretically). At least they won't be lit when flying in night. 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
Deadman Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Its on the skin look at the bottom of the attached skin in the red circle and you will see a line of four green bar those are the the light bars you want to remove. You will have to find out which on is on the tail to paint it red and white if they used the same bar for the wing and the tail you would have a problem if you paint the bar Gray for the wing tip it will then be a gray bar on the tail but you will have to see https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Kuky Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 they glow only in NAV mode though... at least it does on player aircraft (F-15) Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi MB | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC AIO 360 | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD x2 | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | HOTAS Cougar+MFG Crosswind ... and waiting on Pimax Crystal Super VR headset & DCS MiG-29A release
crazyeddie Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Many thanks guys, I have tried painting the yellow bars over but they look a mess on top of the paint job, what I really want to do is get rid of them completely. I guess thay are a TGA file but I connot find it, yet. Will have to keep looking.

crazyeddie Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Yes, I tried that, turned it into a blank file but it did not affect anything on the F4.
