Do I need to do anything to set up the JF-17's CCIP in regards to target altitude?

The CCIP marker and gun cross are way off target, like the ground altitude for the target isn't being factored in. I'm doing some tests around Kerman Airport in the PG map so the ground altitude is roughly ~5700 ft.

Repeating the ground attack at sea level the CCIP markers for both guns and Rockets were dead on, so whatever I'm not setting the default ground altitude is pre set to 0.

This makes me happy.

Not in the sense it can help you.

But because this should be a real issue/problem for CCIP attacks. God bless Deka for modeling it.

Sorry I can't actually help.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

So long as you know roughly where the target is you should be able to set the Ground level up in the plane so the plane can compensate for the difference in altitude.

I'm sure I saw a setting for target elevation in the mfd when I had a quick play last night. Presumably that's what is required to set.

Bump, this seems like a huge issue no one is talking about/has info on from DIS. May not even be a bug, but a section in the manual soon describing CCIP would be nice. Just saying "Go watch matt wagner F/A-18 videos" doesn't really work when the CCIP is nothing like any other jet I've tried.

Love this module for this

AGR (air to ground ranging) would normally take care of this for you, but it is not yet implemented. For now, if you designate the target with the tpod, or use the ag radar to get close to the target, you will have the range you need.
