DCS not fully shutting down.

Hi

 

 

 

I have recently had problems where my PC won't shut down. I was attributing this to Steam (and I think it partly was) but having done some Windows updates I am now finding that it is only when I have been playing DCS that the PC won't shut down.

 

 

 

I have also noticed that if I quit DCS and then go to fire it up again, it won't start.

 

 

 

From this, I am assuming that something, somehwere in DCS isn't shutting down properly.

 

 

 

Has anyone had this problem and are there any known solutions?

Check Task Manager (all tabs) to see if DCS is not completely shutting down. Not sure why the PC wouldn’t shut down with DCS runnin.

Thanks for the replies. I took the very unwelcome plunge last night of "upgrading" to Windows 10. When the PC deigns to see my gaming SSD with DCS on, the problem seems to have gone away.

 

 

 

I'm still waiting to see whether it not seeing the H: drive is going to be an ongoing issue or not.

 

 

 

I am running Norton and MalwareBytes. I know that there were some problems with MB and DCS but that seemed to go away when I excluded the folder.

I had the same problem last week, DCS won't close (or taking too much to close), then it remains blocked if i want to start again.

Are you using windows 7?

 

and can you attach your dcs.log when it happens

I have Windows 10, I7, 16Gb RAM, nvidia GTX 1050 Ti.

 

First let me update the game with the last version, then if still happens, i will provide you a log file - i hope i won't forget :)

Remove your unofficial mods and run a cleanup and repair.

 

Also your pagefile is set to low (Pagefile: 9226 MB)
