exile2256 Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Im taking off hot from the runway. I reload the data cartridge to bring up the data page, then select all the data to be loaded on the mfcd, then press “enter” on the mfcd interface. The data is locked and recognised by the jet (nav data, weapons etc are correct), it then starts giving a warning audio message and displaying “warn” on the hud. The fault panel has a red “config” on it. What am I doing wrong?
Rudel_chw Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Your first mission was AA and now you rearmed for A-G (or viceversa), you need to configure the FCS panel appropiately. Ramsay Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 (edited) "Air to Air" config is likely set and you have a "air to ground" or "wing tanks" loadout. Change the FCS config switch from A/A to A/G and select AG1 (6G limiter) or AG2 (5G limiter) if you have wing tanks. With the right FCS config set, the red "Config" lamp on the warning panel should go out. See page 75 of Chuck's "DCS JF-17 Thunder Introduction Guide" for more info. The FCS switches are part of the "2.3.2 Flight Control System Checklist" on pages 20/21 of Deka's "DCS JF-17 Quick Guide EN.pdf" but unlike Chuck's Guide it doesn't include pictures.
