ambision
so in MP, GPU usage fluctuates aggressively between 0%-45% with single digits FPS to match. Not only that the FPS are very low, but they also fluctuate very much, making the game feel like a nauseating power point slide show. When I try single mission offline, GPU is stable and high usage cases, 96%-100%, with 45-75 FPS accordingly. On both, CPU is utilized to the 'max' with 2 cores stressed to 100% constantly. So maybe it's not a CPU bottleneck? I cant use the game like this. BitMaster
Make a DEFINITELY out of that MAYBE and you got your answer imho. What is your CPU and at which clocks does it run ? That may ( actually must ) explain it. BitMaster
Just saw your other thread, I honestly think your CPU is too weak Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X

=OPS=Slider
But there is something weird with performance in MP. Yesterday when I was flying with my friends, my GPU usage never exceeded 40% and 40FPS. That was the case only in cockpit view (F-16), outside I had stable and smooth 60FPS and GPU was at 70ish% usage. My CPU is i5 4670k @ 4.3GHz so it should be enough. In singleplayer, stable 60FPS and GPU usage as it needs to maintain 60FPS, and with Vsync off I've got about 90-100FPS in the cockpit.

GPU usage can reach 100% no problems, but in MP, the behavior is strange. OttoPus
Maybe obvious, but... did you check packet loss? Since my connection is faulty (getting PL around 10%), in multiplayer I get stutters and such.... this on a beefy i7 9700k rtx 2080ti 32GB Ram machine. Just saying network performance and fps are tied, worth a check.

Rykane
I'm getting the same issue, I upgraded to a 2080ti and I jumped on DCS VR first time in a while and I'm getting 30-40% load on quite a beefy rig too, i7 8700k @ 4.5ghz, 64gb ram. My fps is in the low teens to high teens on some servers and sometimes 20-25 fps. Before around the summer I had a 1080ti and I had better frames. I expected better FPS when upgrading to the 2080ti, I guess not :D
