ex81 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 Hi, the green letters and numbers on the MFCD are hard to read. Even when I zoom in a lot. Is there any way to change the color to black ? For the A-10C there was a way to edit the .lua file , so the green HUD objecst showed up in black. Maybe someone knows how this could be done. What goes up, must come down ! derammo Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 I assume you mean the AMPCD in map mode? Because black text on the black DDIs would be less useful :) Read this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=230669
ex81 Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 Sorry for being not exactly enough. Of course I mean the Map on the "down" screen. Green text is pretty unreadable. I only asked because I was unsure if the F/A-18C has an MFCD somewhere I didn't know is called that :). Anyway, check the forum post I linked above. I think it is the same question and there are some answers.

Yes, you depress the middle OSB on the left column twice when the HSI is displayed. You depress the the top left OSB on the top row when the SA page is displayed. He asked to change the color of the letters if the map is shown. Brigth green letters are realy hard to read. Brigth green letters are realy hard to read. Regards Indeed I did. Oops. No idea, but would venture a guess that if you can change the .lua file for the A10C, then you could for the F/A-18C. I don’t do stuff like that, so no help from me. Sorry for the confusion . derammo Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Ok, since people seems to have missed it somehow, I will repeat it here: Just read this post https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=230669 It has the instructions for how to change the text colors and how to dim the map, both of which you will want to use. Cheers.
donkeyrider Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Thank you. That thread is very helpful.
