news on upcoming modues before sale ends, please

Hello,

i would really appreciate it, if we could get at least some info on upcoming modules (especially maps), before the winter sale ends.

 

I personally will buy everything that i'm interested in and that seems worth the price for me, but since i fly mostly in coop, it's also on me to convince my buddies to purchase modules to stay "comaptible" and since some of them are more of the "casual" player (not in mindset, but in willingness for time -and therefor- money investment), it's a bit of a strategical problem to get them all on board for venturing into "new" things like dcs WWII (assets pack + map + aircraft is quite expensive, if you only fire up dcs once a month...).

 

Since there will probably be some big newsletter and/or video for the new year, i'd be very thankful, if it could shed some light on upcoming maps, as there are still so many unknowns.

- will the "free map" be a valid WWII map, or will it be a modern map with some potential for WWII?

- "chizh" told me in a pm, that new night lighting is getting worked on, but that it will need implemantation on a per map basis: is normandy already future proofed for that tech.?

- will normandy get some more expansion (maybe english coast)? the new update looks great, but it's also clearly stated that this is still being worked on ("We will be working closely with Ugra Media to make additional improvements to this work-in-progress.")...

From what we know so far,

 

 

-the new free map will be "suitable" for both modern and WWII use

 

 

-no idea about lighting thing, but if some of them gets it we can think all of them should get it

 

 

 

-Normandy map is finished and we only got the update yesterday because VR performance and some flaws still there. I don't think it'll be changed more, at least not big changes and no upgrades in depth like map extension, adding areas out of the current detailed area, and so. Bug fixing from the update and that's it, probably.

Yes, i had that statement in mind. The question then is: What does "suitable" mean??? Is current caucasus "suitable" for WWII? For me clearly no, for others maybe. Is Normandy 1944 suitable for a 1941 scenario? For me yes, for others maybe not (?)...

About modules, Wags talk about the P-47 has incoming (Q1 2020 I think), Moskito to Mid/late 2020 and Me262 I expect 2021.

 

Mising the WW2 Assets pack update (not sure if delayed by new funtionality in progress).

 

About Maps, Missing the "3" map(1 free and 2 others maps) talked on the 2019. I think UgraMedia can continue update Normandy as ED was updated Persian gulf with sucesive expansions.
