fitness88 Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 Does ASW still have the 4 options available...doesn't seem so? Thank you. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=224202&stc=1&d=1577904383

fitness88 Posted January 1, 2020 Author Posted January 1, 2020 (edited) AFAIK yes. I use the Oculus Tray Tool to set my ASW. I've tried changing the settings in OTT from auto/off/45 and also using the keypad shortcuts, I selected using 'show ASW status' in the OTT settings, no change showing, always auto/active. On the DCS home and options screen I used to be able to toggle using the keypad shortcuts 45/90/on/off but no more. using OTT version 0.86.3.1 Edited January 1, 2020 by fitness88
fitness88 Posted January 8, 2020 Author Posted January 8, 2020 Just did another test, I cannot turn on ASW through the ingame keypad shortcuts as I once did. I need to first open Oculus Tray Tool then DCS...Oculus Home will then auto open. Can someone please confirm this.
Chapa Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 I use the game shortcuts to change the AWS mode on a daily basis. I even made voice attack commands for that and it works perfectly. I don't use Oculus Tray Tool or other launcher tools. Except enabling the ScrLk key on your keyboard to enable the Numpad, checking the app managing your keyboard if you use gamer keyboard and try a DCS repair, I don't see any reason why it doesn't work for you. Just to be sure, the shortcuts are done with the Right Control key i7 12700k, RTX 3080ti, 64GB RAM, M.2 512Go, Quest 3

Chapa Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Yes I use these shortcuts. In fact, it’s because they exist I stopped using OTT. I am playing only DCS so no need to manage multiple VR profiles i7 12700k, RTX 3080ti, 64GB RAM, M.2 512Go, Quest 3
Chapa Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 (edited) look at if your numlock and/or scrLock key are activated. I remember having issue with shortcut not working with my bluetooth surface keyboard because not always activated by default. or if the shortcuts are not bind to plane functionalities Edited January 8, 2020 by Chapa i7 12700k, RTX 3080ti, 64GB RAM, M.2 512Go, Quest 3

Is this the same for you?
Chapa Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Yes, same for me... So no more idea why it doesn't work for you. i7 12700k, RTX 3080ti, 64GB RAM, M.2 512Go, Quest 3
fitness88 Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 (edited) Yes, same for me... So no more idea why it doesn't work for you. Thanks for trying:thumbup: One other thing, I noticed that I'm locked in at 45fps even in areas where I know I get 90fps. I Tried OTT in auto in the 90 fps as well but still locked in at 45fps. How are you determining that you can go ingame from ASW 1-2-3 or 4th ASW option? Edited January 9, 2020 by fitness88
Chapa Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 (edited) Playing at 80Hz stable is only possible with low settings and PD. I play with these settings when flying warbirds on MP because chasing an enemy with AWS on induce lot of ghosting effect and the propeller lot of artifacts. In this case, I play in mode 1 but I need sometimes to switch in mode 3 or 4 in scene when stutters appears. Take off/Landing in general... When flying jets, I tend to up the settings and PD so playing at 80Hz becomes more rare, high altitude, over sea etc. Mode 4 or mode 3 are the only choice possible and the mode 4 is only interesting if AWS doesn’t trig on/off to often because the trigger create one stutter each time. In general I fly in mode 3 and will only change to mode 4 if I chase other plane in sky to avoid the ghosting effect. It sounds complicated but it becomes quickly easy to anticipate the mode to use. It’s flexible and easy to do with voice attack. I just say VR mode X and enjoy. On the paper, the mode 2 should be the best with stable 40Hz and AWS off but in practice it creates a lot of ghosting effect and is totally useless in DCS at least...
