Having only just started in DCS, i've bought a Rift S. I'm thinking of buying a trackball, so i dont knock my pint over on the desk :) while blindly hunting for the mouse.

Looking for recommendations for a trackball please

I use a Logitech marble unit with my left hand (my stick is on the right side).

The marble does the job and it’s very usable. Never tried another unit type

no they are the correct way round, you dont want to take your primary hand off the stick when flying, so you use your none dominate hand for controlling the trackball eg you are right handed, get a left handed trackball

Well, you do 90% of the movement with your view. Then you fine adjust with your "weak" side. Should adapt quickly, but... I would keep a mouse handy for main menu, options, mission editor ;)

I use the mouse left and right hand, what ever suits better for what I am doing. my preferred hand is left tho I am right handed, maybe just cuz of that, type/write right and mouse left ;)
