Lancezh Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 I'm still struggling to understand the advantage of using a program for Flares / Chaffs in the context of PVP, what do you guys that fly regularly PVP, bypass single dispense or actual prorgrams ? If the latter, why ?
Swift. Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Bypass isn't singles, its doubles. So CM conservation would be one reason. Another is using run in programs so that as you run in you dont have to think about pressing the button every few seconds. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
Kang Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 In terms of PvP, as seldom as I engage in it, I tend to stick to the bypass for high flexibility, but as Swift pointed out, there definitely are scenarios in which a program can make life easier. It's just that in 'tight' PvP scenarios with short flight times it's a hassle to adjust the programs.
Bunny Clark Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 I use programs, because I don't like dropping doubles of everything with every press - especially while we still have unrealistically low numbers of flares. I set program 1 to a single flare, and program 5 to single chaff so I get essentially the same functionality but only releasing a single at a time. I also have programs 2 and 3 set up for longer timed releases of chaff and flares that I can switch to for prophylactic use when making bombing runs. Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign.
