LastRifleRound Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 (edited) It seems the LS6 Tandem and Side by side options do exactly the same thing, they both just do "side by side". Settings: LS6 QTY: 2 Mode: TOO Type: TANDEM does the same thing as: LS6 QTY: 2 Mode: TOO Type: SBYSID Also, it is not possible to set this option in PP mode. I believe this is intentional and don't think it's a bug but I suppose it could be. Edited January 18, 2020 by uboats
shaHeen-1 Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Dcs weapons blow up any other weapon around them. No point to side by side on same target.

You can broadside a column similar to BK90 on the Viggen. Works quite well. Also, the JF17 allows you to configure the distance between the weapons. They can be quite far away from another if you wish. Have you tried it at all?

What are you talking about? have you never rippled bombs or used glide munitions on same target (area) before? Well I guess you havent since you said it is pointless. There is nothing wrong with weapons flying close, unless they collide with each other in the air which happens if you do not set your program properly. I'm not sure if it was a fluke or not, but I've seen LS-6s take evasive action to not hit each other. Could just be sheer luck, but they deviated from flight plan after being dropped to avoid one another. So its potentially even harder to collide than one might imagine.
