As other people have had issues with micro stutters inside DCS along with track IR Connecting and disconnecting messages. I have also had this same issue, my issue was not always there. Some days it would have stutters and other days it was smooth

I have noticed on the days that my track IR would connect/disconnect and have micro stutters inside DCS. having FPS of 60 and then dropping down to 18 or so for a second and then back up. I have noticed when ever I started to have this stutter in DCS that inside my device manager is always refreshing also causing this stutter. I have finally tracked down that was causing my constant refreshing inside the device manager and DCS and it was my network adapter. After disabling the network adaptor I no longer had any issues with the stutter. After reactivating it the stutters came back along with the refresh of the Device Manager.

Having the network adaptor disabled will not bond well with online play. So diving deeper I have found that the issue is found in my network settings. Going inside the advanced sharing settings, "turning off network discovery" and "turn off fie and printer sharing" has solved my issues.

In Short, if disabling your network adaptor stops your micro stutters and track IR connect/disconnect. Check your Advanced sharing settings and insure that they are "turn off network discovery" and "turned off file printer sharing"

Sometimes I also have micro stutters (1 to 3 secs) in DCS on my new rig and lately even a full freezing up of my monitor with complete DCS crash in multiplayer. Thanks @JesseJames38 for your analysis and possible solution. I will try it out today and hopefully it results in no more micro stutters for me. I will report in time!

Ive had these setting turned off for a good while. It did reduce the worse stutters but I still have very slight problems. As with all things though, the more goodies i turn off and the more fps produced the less the problems persist (or are apparent). Always there in some form -just not as much.

Ive also found that for my GTX 1080 the last video driver that didnt induce a small amount of uneven frame pacing was 425.31. Every subsequent driver since (installed clean using DDU) has not resulted in regular small "ticks" in the motion.

The occiasional longer (1-2 sec) freezes seem to have worsened in recent OB builds but this could also (possibly, possiby not) have resulted from adding another 16GB of RAM (2x8GB) which has lowered the timings from 1T to 2T and, despite being the same model and brand) possibly interoduced some minor mismatches.

** in addition, try to turn OFF all your Smart-Home devices like Smart-TV, Alexa, Smart-Fridge, Smart-XYZ_thingy..and try again. This has been found to cause lots of trouble, aka stutter etc, for quite some users.
