TheCabal Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Hey folks.... Finally something happened to my HOTAS. The Radioswitch on the Throttle just broke. It was held by black plastic in it's center........ I guess it's game over or are there any possibilities to melt them together somehow or to get a spare part somewhere?? I feel.... bad right now. Please tell me there is a way to fix or get a spare part =( Greetings, Cabal FC3, Ka-50, A-10C, AJS-37, MiG-21bis, F-14A/B, F/A-18C, F-16C, NTTR, Persian Gulf, Super Carrier, TacView Advanced Next in line: F-5 II , MiG-19 , MiG-23 MLA Wishlist: PA-100 Tornado, F-104 Starfighter, MiG-25 Foxbat, A-6 Intruder

Sokol1_br Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 The Radioswitch on the Throttle just broke. It was held by black plastic in it's center... What exactly has broken? If you are not able to bet an replacement, may can fix. When the radio HAT of Tm F22FLCS TQS broken - in the pole in what the HAT capt are fit,, I fix it by drill a hole with a ~1mm drill and insert thin steel wire and CA glue the parts, resulting more strong than new.
TheCabal Posted January 30, 2020 Author Posted January 30, 2020 Hi Sokol1, the "knob" broke off cleanly (or rather the plastic). I thought about the same stuff you mentioned but don't know where to find something to drill as thin as 1mm and especially how to deep to drill inside the throttle... to prevent damage to this radioswitch-unit. rel4y Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 You can easily drill 20mm into the pin. Just take it out, it is only held in by the round plastic "lid" with the 2 side cut offs. You can simply crank the lid out with a small screwdriver and the remove the pin.
