Is there any way to stop Jester from messing around with my NavGrid settings? Whether I hop in the back seat and set it up, or I tell him to set it up from the front seat he either changes the settings or he goes to AC stab instead of ground stab when I need it in ground stab. When the heat is on and I'm trying to help out a buddy in MP, it takes too long to re-command Jester to set the NavGrid to what I wanted over and over again.

Thanks!

I had some key mappings done like the LANTIRN controls to modify the radar screen settings, so I could switch range and AC stab / ground stab modes. Then HB implemented some features and since then Jester always reverts the settings instantly as soon as I try to modify them - without having the option to tell him how to set things up. Mostly I used to switch the thing to ground stab when doing strike missions on hte first pass to have the screen centered to the target area, providing me with vital SA data from the AWACS so I knew when things might get hot and I'd have to either bug out or engage something. Since that change, I'm blind literally. We definately need the options to tell him our preferred setting if needed.

Can you tell me when and how he changes them, pls? Just after a while, or immediately when you switch back to front seat, or is it connected to a specific action or menu command?

Thanks for the report.

It usually takes him about a minute before he changes things. He changes them by switching to AC stab and then when it goes back to ground stab, it's to whatever default heading is on. So I have to tell him again to reset the heading. Sometimes the sectors and degrees coverage change too.

I'll have to run it again to get more accurate reports for you.

Ok, I see what you mean now. Unfortunately I doubt we will be able to do much about this, the best option here is to have him manually stay in groundstab for as long as possible. The problem is not his operation of navgrid, but that he operates other things on the tid if you let him to and it becomes quickly a question of multiple priorities, which is a pain to solve. This is simply one of those things where we have to set boundries to his abilities for what would else turn out as somewhat diminishing returns on the development time. That said, maybe we will figure out a more clever way, but please don't get your hopes high. I hope that makes sense, and thank you for understanding.
