KA-50 pilot has gone AWOL and is thus a traitor and criminal to Mother Russia.

Otherwise new cockpit is great. Feels more spatial. Though TV picture could be a little better, and CRT would be replaced by now with LCD MFD, but displaying grayscale video feed from ARBIS.

Is ARBIS TV in 50 and -25T a Russian version of American ARBS in A-4M and AV-8B/NA? Is seems to work, for bombs on similar concept.

Flight model and control seem better. Perhaps a bit heavier in feel and response, but more stable in hover and slow speed when engaging targets.

I noticed that when audio is 5.1 home theater with ATMOS or Dolby ProLogicII, the bass is deeper and thumper for blade beat and cannon fire. Compared to 2.1 speakers or headphones.

The CRT has superior features that no LCD panel can do. That is as well why your HUD is reflector to a CRT display and it can't be replaced by the LCD technology.

They are. Both are performing the same task at least on Su-25T. So angular rate bombing sight is one of the functional.

I got that feeling as well, they do say that they didn't touch the FM in this time (but pointed out last year or late 2018 that KA-50 got delayed among Mi-24 because new flight model for the helicopters that requires all helicopters flight modeling be changed).

Somewhat the auto-hover felt working better this time, although didn't test it multiple times etc. But where it previously started drifting after perfect manually trimmed hover, it didn't seem to do that now, or very very slow rate of sliding to one direction.

The audio seems to be changed better. The blades keeps far better beating at higher turns etc and makes possible to control aircraft speed better just by audio only.

According to an old article in Leatherneck (official magazine of US Marine Corps) ARBS development dates back to 1957, when Corps , acting on lessons from Korea and Marine deployments to Lebanon (yep Marines have been in out of Lebanon for decades since WWII) in 1950's, wanted an accurate daylight bombing system that was independent of any land based aids or radio emissions, and allowed Marine aviator to perform evasion maneuvers while rolling in onto target. They also wanted an immediate re-attack capability. Lasers, at time, being sci-fi. So Hughes Electronics developed Angle Rate Bombing System. So ARBS is a mature technology. I cannot say it is obsolete, as daylight has not changed from daylight in 1950's. As long as aircraft's INS/NAV is working and ARBS in working order, system remembers last target.

It is not obsolete, just limited to that optimal weather/day scenarios.

It is very very accurate system, more accurate than Hornet (with A/G radars):

That same thing is with Su-25T, but not simulated at all. And limited in the KA-50 where the system stores the Skhval position once you have ranged the target with laser.

So you can come back for another attack run and Shkval would get back to attack position, if not exactly to same spot.
