FlankerKiller Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Back in the day I would edit the View file for a cockpit view angel of 60-40 degrees. For me this worked best. Now I’m certainly not asking to make that the view range, it works for me but not for everyone. And I do know they have a similar feature on the MI-8, and that is kinda what I want. But I would like to be able to set both the max and min view to whatever we want. This is of cores for flat screen use. I have no idea how view zoom works in VR.

Do you have an axis assigned for the zoom view? If so you can limit it in the response menu. Editing the lua file can cause problems in missions or online. I agree there should be a setting for this in the GUI because the default wide FOV is too large as if it was set up for triple monitors. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
Japo32 Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 +1 I have to edit everytime the black shark fov to make it better for a 3 screens option (not the 3 screens view that ED offers as I don't like the "non-Distorsioned" 3 displays camera.
Al-Azraq Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 +1, This will be a very nice addition. I use an axis for zoom and in order to have the default view I have to put the axis at 50% (luckily it has a detent there). If I go to less than 50%, I get the lens effect due to low FOV and I would love to limit that so I can use all my axis. i7 12700KF | MSI Z690 A-PRO | Corsair Vengeance 2x16 gb @ 3200 Mhz | RTX 3070 Ti FE | Acer XB271HU 1440P 144HZ | Virpil T-50 CM throttle | Virpil WarBRD Base + MongoosT-50 CM2 Grip | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR 5 | HP Reverb G2 Bf 109 K-4 | Fw 190 A-8 | Spitfire LF Mk. That's how I did it. I set around 75ish for my ultrawide. Rolling back all the way it would only go so far, but zoom in was unrestricted. In theory, not checking slider and adjusting sat would alter both min and max, but I haven't tried that. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2

I think that pretty well simulated the human eyes ability to focus, without giving me super human eyesight. Just seems like something that should be setable.
