Every color has a specific RAL code for identification. Without that code it is almost impossible to make your stick look like (almost) new. Thrustmaster should know the specific color code, so i would start with contacting TM support. Also you will not only need paint, but thinner and ground coat as well. Otherwise the new paint won´t stay on the surface. Same goes for the old paint, you need to remove it completely from the grip with sand paper. Otherwise it will look like shit and the new paint won´t hold much long. I guess you want to paint the grip? As it is made from metal, i would take nitro thinner and epoxide ground coat (EP Surfacer II from SIKKENS is pretty good) and then professional car paint on top. As i said, without the RAL code of the color it´s very difficult to say wich color to take, but i would assume something like matt finished jet black (RAL code 9005)

edit: And don´t forget to clean up the complete surface of your grip. It must be perfectly clean.

cheers

Look, i´m not a professional on that. All my knowledge is from 10-15 years ago when we sometimes painted parts for our cars back in younger days. Since the WH grip is made from metal, i would simply treat it like a car part. If you want to have it look like almost new, i would assume that there is no way around disassembling it and do the following:

1. Remove the old paint with sand paper

2. clean the surface with thinner. Must be perfectly clean

3. airbrush it with ground coating and let this dry for at least 24h

4. airbrush it with car paint of the same RAL code and let this dry for several days (3-4).

5. repeat step 4.

Otherwise i doubt it would look much better than it does now and you could save your time and effort instead and just use it as it is. If you do not own an airbrush system and an air conditioning compressor, you could also use aerosol can paint, but the quality won´t be a blast with these.

It's either Aluminum or ZAMAC so I'd say use a self etching primer first before shooting color, also don't store it in a sea side boat house like the last owner apparently did.

I think it would be better i use it as it is for a time. Then i will replace it with a new grip

For a lot of auto small parts I use these.

and then either this which is my favorite due to fast drying and long lasting finish. You can also vary the amount of hammered effect by how heavy you spray.

or this is I need a very gloss finish

https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/specialty/appliance-epoxy-spray/

this matches some black powder coat well. They also have a texture paint which is nice for some uses.
