My update process aborted with a message that it could not delete the file "F15.dll" in "K:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\bin". Although I have Admin rights I had to restart and switch to another admin user before I could finally delete that file and re-launch the update which was then very quickly completed.

I had the same problem with the file "world.dll" in the previous update. I'm not a Windows expert and I should not have to deal with that kind of technical problems.

I have never had such issues before the previous 2.5.6 update, and I have not made any change to my system in the last few months.

PS: This should not be related to the free trials as I have purchased the full FC3 a long time ago.

Most likely, your Antivirus could be responsible .. add the DCS program folder to the Antivirus exclusion list and that should prevent this from happening again, and also helps prevent stutters when the AV interferes with DCS loading of files.

Thanks for the advice Rudel! I have added the game folder to AVIRA exceptions although I had not seen any messages from AVIRA that would indicate a virus interception. And I wouldn't have thought that the AV prevents deletion of a file. But I know too little about the subject.
