Bug or not? Enable cursor BORE/SLAVE to keep pressed

One of the last patches introduces the ability to press ENABLE to switch the AIM9 from SLAVE to BORE.

 

However, it seems like you have to keep the button pressed, only for a temporary change. I find this very counteintuitive, but i'm not sure if it's a bug or the software is designed this way.

This is real behavior based on interviews I've read. The fixed setting is achieved by using the pushbutton on the MFD. The temporary change is achieved via the cursor/enable button being held. This is so you can quickly lock something up on radar, uncage the AIM-9 seeker to a second target with cursor/enable, fire, then release and slave to the radar target again and fire quickly at 2 targets.

Yup, how the real plane works. If you want it toggled "hands off" then change it on the SMS format.

I just mapped ENABLE on a 3 way switch on my hotas. So it wont go back unless I put it back. Nice and easy upgrade for my personal F16 ;)
