[Request] VFA-37 Raging Bulls, 1990's

Hi,

I grew up with the "Buck Danny" comics books and my personnal favorite album was always L'éscadrille fantôme or Ghost Squadron in it's english version. In this album, the 3 main characters fly Hornets for the VFA-37 squadron aboard USS Eisenhower, in the war over Bosnia. It's a great book to read in quarantine by the way...:music_whistling:

I would just love for someone to make this livery :pilotfly:

Thank you very much in advance !!

Here are some pictures of the livery both in the comics and in reality.

/!\ EDIT /!\

I finally made the skins myself. You can download the pack here:

Well... forget about the request :music_whistling:

I found the motivation to do it myself :pilotfly:

Here is what it looks like at the moment. It is still a WIP.

During my research, I was positively surprised about the book. I thought the autor had just picked a random carrier, squadron and livery but This plane was actually on USS Eisenhower during the campaign in Bosnia.

Coming along nicely :)

I now have the planes of the 4 main characters in the sim. There are still some tweaks to be made but we're getting there. I might release a historical skin for this livery but I need more research for this.

Absolutely beautiful! God that brings back memories

By the way if you are belgian...in what language did you read it? Just wondering ahah

The Nose numbers dont match up. I think you may have used the wrong front for them. They just look a little bit on the smaller side. Great stuff so far.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I don't really get your point... Do you have a image maybe? I overlayed other skins of that era and they are very similar in size and position.

If you look at the Image you posted of it taxing back, you can see that the nose numbers are slanted, and also that they are larger then the ones that you put on the plane. I figured I would let you know that they are off but if you choose to not change it then thats totally fine. Was just trying to help make it more realistic.

Try to close that gap between the F and A in VFA. Its a common problem with the font you used.

Thank you for the feedback! I will investigate that.

Meanwhile here are the pilots done.
