Hi!

 

Before create new thread I found post but it was to 1.1.

 

Now is it possible to jettison specyfic weapon? Guys, how can I drop example Kh58 first, when I have Vihr and Kh? Always it starts by Vihr and last Kh. And I lost my Vihrs and have nothing to shoot. It wasn't be so problem if it could be any possible to fire KH missles without locking into radar...

 

 

Secundo, why example Kh-31 missles are forbidden to 25T? Cause when it could be visible in plane we could fire them and destroy? (and have some weapons from similar 25TM, of course not full functioning, but 25T can fire antiradar missles too) If yes ED made very big malice. If not (we couldn't fire them even if they could be useable by human) so why you forbid them?

IIRC you cannot determine which weapons you Jettison first - always from the Outer Pylons in - and Air to Ground Ordinance prior to Air to Air Ordinance.

IIRC the 25T cannot fly fast enough to launch the Kh-31. It has a minimum launch speed for its ramjet.

All air launched missiles have a minimum launch speed, and if a UCAV without an afterburner can launch the Kh-31, then the Su-25TM can also, that big ass rocket booster in the back is not for nothing after all.

 

AFAIK you can select the ordnance you want to jettison, and also you can jettison the pylon seperately (that big draggy thing that always remains glued to your plane in lomac), but all this on the real deal, so a big no-no in lomac, just like slightly uprated engines on the Su-25T.

OK - but why THESE missles are forbrid for Su-25T? Why example the biggest missle in game P-500 can be added to Su-27 and fired without any problems? Su-27 can't also fire missle which has about 12 m lenght..., I wonder why to Su-25T missles are forbrid, but to other planes not, even if they also couldn't be fired by that plane (P-500 from Su27).

 

@Force_Feedback - could you once again write how to drop specific jettison cause I didn't understand your text to end.

To prevent cheating - so that people CANNOT mount missiles they are not supposed on them. But that was not implemented on older aircraft.

Aha, but this didn't eliminate that we can have 6 Kh-58 or 6 Vihrs (48 missiles) so it is still cheating. This argument was burned :P, for next one hmmm maybe unlock this for 25T, you abandon Lock on so what wrong will be in that :>

P-500 on Su-27.... Pfffft! Don't tell me you've done that! That's sick. :D

 

FF meant that in the real aircraft you can select to jettison weapons from specific pylons but not in LO- you always drop them in pairs from outer to inner hardpoints.

 

As for the Kh-31- I think I've seen pictures of it under the Su-25T's wing but there are no evidences that it's been able to use it, like the famous picture of Su-33 with Kh-41 Moskit under the fuselage- mockup which never been launched from the air. However, according to Sukhoi data the Su-25TM upgraded version can be fitted with Kopye small-size PESA radar(intended for MiG-21-93 upgrade) on a centerline pod which is able to provide targetting of Kh-31A against ships and R-77 versus airborne targets. I haven't heard of successful tests of this system on the 25TM. As for the antiradar Kh-31P it requires targetting from the RWS (like the Pastel which the 25T hasn't, not sure for the 25TM) or the Phantasmagoria pod, which again is not certain it's implemented IRL.

 

Why do you need it anyway? Not happy with the Kh-58 and the 25MPU? :D

 

EDIT: Found this pic from some MAKS- Su-25TM with Kopye radar, Kh-35 and R-77 but no confirmation that it's actualy able to use them:

Kh-58 is extra but I feel closer with Kh-31P, that Krypton codename is magnetic :D I thought Kh-31 is antiradar so we only add it to 25T and it could work with Fantasmagoria, not only with Kopyo (game isn't perfect, so 31 didn't know if there is Kopyo or not).

 

Will ED plans release some tools to change game or this thing will be forever hardcoded?

 

PS. Do you know where can I find rather good quality pics of Russian weaponry or/and Su-25T, example pics of cocpit or bombs?

I know what you mean- the Kh-31P has twice the range of the Kh-58 ;) plus smarter seeker. My understanding is that it's still classified and ED has no info about it, therefore it's not available for flyable planes(25T) in LO.

Plus it's not as if the SAMs have any brains at all ... not are the missile speeds modelled quite right. So the more powerful an ARM you hand to an aircraft, the less challenging you're making things.

I wish I could jettison weapon pairs of my choice instead of from out-to-in. This added functionality would really improve the game.:thumbup:

 

Unwittingly dropping the wrong weapon(and I have done this way too often) is beyond frustrating...its like commiting suicide!:cry:
