Callsign.Vega Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Notice the F-14 cockpit when using my TrackIR5 is warping and stretching the image on the edges, very strange. Almost like some sort of barrel distortion. It doesn't do that with the F-16 in DCS. Has anyone else noticed this? GPU: RTX 4090 - 3,000 MHz core / 12,000 MHz VRAM. Moafuleum Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 What do you mean exactly? I can't imagine really what you mean. Could you provide a screenshot of what you mean?
Callsign.Vega Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 It's like I am sitting in/viewing out of a fish bowl. The center of the image seems far away and the edges like the cockpit mirrors are super close. Very disorienting. Like the zoom is somehow messed up. But not affecting other DCS aircraft. What the heck? GPU: RTX 4090 - 3,000 MHz core / 12,000 MHz VRAM. Moafuleum Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Have a look at this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=245259 I noticed this already in the tomcat and i find it disorienting as well. It can be partially fixed by yourself by setting a desired FOV (ingame equivalent of zoomlevel) and save this as the default view. Ideally done without using trackir to make sure you look exactly forward, then zoom in a bit and save the view. This is kept for every mission except in those multiplayer missions where default user views are prohibited.
