According to the control options menu, with "L CTRL + L SHIFT + Y" you can hide and bring back the chat window in multiplayer (small letter symbol, toggle).

On my end it only hides it, but I can never bring it back this way.

Yes, needs to be done any way. It does not save the last state you have set the chat to, when you have set the chat visible and then use the combo to turn it off and then on again, it doesn't come back with it. Close thread or not, doesn't matter to me. Didn't know you had to make it visible "again" twice with using L SHIFT + TAB afterwards.

Having the same problem. LShift+Tab doesn't do anything...:music_whistling:

Whatever i try to bring it back up, no joy at all. For me this is a BUG!

Found out how i works:

LSHIFT+LCTRL+Y closes it (after entering MP).

LSHIFT+LCTRL+Y alone does not bring it back, one needs to tab LSHIFT+TAB twice to bring it up again.

From then on you can:

- TAB to switch it ON/OFF (without the option to enter text)

- LSHIFT+TAB to make it possible to enter text.

It's OK for 2D where you have the keyboard in front of you.

It's complicated in VR since you can't see the keyboard. The various combinations to make it active makes it more complicated to set it up on a controller.
