Hi Shepski!...

I was wondering is there would be any changes of the carrier?? Better texture, better wires (more real) to catch the planes....and hopefully i real hope that there would be working evelators?? :wink:

Plaese do something to make the carrier look more realistic...because now it really look like it's been doin in paint ( sorry guys! :oops: no offens) i just had to say ..

Just to add some info the DEVS are accepting 3d models to naval objetcts also...so if anyone have interest on a bether 3d model and have the skill to make one....the comunity will be glad :D

Working elevators are unlikely to happen . . . . it doesn't add much, and taxiing accurately around the carrier is difficult enough already.

 

 

New textures would be good, but the community can do those well enough :wink2:

 

 

The wires . . . . mmn.

 

What I REALLY want is an Su33 with the Advanced Physics Model. That would be delightful . . . .

 

I don't think I've ever seen properly animated cables in a flightsim - but if ED can whip them up for a future project, it would really be the icing on the cake. Powerlines, arrestor cables, the hoses on the refuelling aircraft . . . . .

I don't know how exactly how difficult it is to do . . . imagine it'd take a bit of time, though.

 

 

But it would be really sweet to see . . . . mmmn . . . .

The carrier is not being worked on in v1.1.

 

1.1 is not about naval operations... just as v1.0 was not about naval operations.

 

Yes the above mentioned addons are not about Naval Operations and seeing as your a beta tester and have done all of the training programs for Lockon since day one I suspect that you might be have first hand knowledge of the following.....

 

(1) Has ED been in development of an advanced Naval Conflict

 

(2) And if so has this development ceased because of cost and time

issues, A-10, ECT.....

 

(3) And also if the above issues do apply will the Naval Project begin

again after the add ons have been finalized and released.......

 

Flanker 2.51 was certainly about naval operations and a lot of has been eliminated from Lockon....

 

I'm just hopeing that some day Ed will take this project up again...

 

Anyway Mark thanks and if you can't answer the above for whatever reason I totally understand.......

Not sure how hard it would be to implament but could you guys setup the carrier similar to airport so if we put multiple clients on the carrier taking of from parking lot they could be on deck waiting for there turn on the ramp. that would be so awesome also just like thw tilda key is used for changing positions on the basket of Tanker while refueling it would ROCK if we could chose what catapult to launch from on deck. So for example while parked if we hit u it would put us in a launch mose and then tilda key to pick which catapult and finally alt U or something like that to position ourselves there. Or even easier just let us taxi to a lauch position of our chosing and when we hit U the game would connect us to the nearest launch position on the carrier. Man would that be awesome. I need to wake up now...LOL :lol:

Probably the ultimate is to have ground crew guide you to the cat! eg SuperHornet. Maybe in online games if there were multiple aircraft the view would goto tower view until its your turn to taxi to the cat(in other words theres enough room on the deck) or in the case of an Su33 taxi to the ramp. Ground crew would be a bonus but is not always necessary.
