Flamin_Squirrel Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) Then please read NATPOS Part 1, chapter 2 item 2.10.1.1 Landing Gear Control Handle and item 2.10.4 Launch Bar System. Seems pretty obvious to me. And nowhere is stated, that there are other means than putting the launch bar switch to RETRACT to retract the launch bar. You misunderstand. That paragraph references the effect of the L BAR on the landing gear (already understood and previously mentioned in this thread), not the landing gear lever's effect on the L BAR - the latter is what SkateZilla was talking about and which I was responding to. And since you bring it up: On aircraft 161353 THRU 161715, when both throttles are advanced to or above MIL, a throttle switch is made, the green L BAR advisory light goes out and the launch bar switch returns to RETRACT. 2.10.4. So yes there is another means, just not applicable for this LOT. Edited April 23, 2020 by Flamin_Squirrel
Swift. Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 'If the launch bar is extended when the handle is raised, the main gear retracts but the nose gear remains extended.' That would imply that the gear handle has no effect on the LBar 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
LTRMcrew Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 The L Bar does indeed retract even when down currently. I tried it yesterday, you can hear an audible click as it flips up.
