HoneyViper Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I have both the Open Beta and Regular versions of DCS installed on my computer, each taking up about 107GB, 214GB in total. That's almost half my HDD space used up. I'm wondering if this is the most efficient way of having both versions on my computer at once? I'm reading up about how to use SkateZilla's utility, and this post seems to indicate that with SkateZilla's utility you only need one version installed but can somehow "switch" to the other version with ease. I'm confused how this would work. Wouldn't you need both versions installed like I have done?
Rudel_chw Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 ... seems to indicate that with SkateZilla's utility you only need one version installed but can somehow "switch" to the other version with ease. The Utility can convert your DCS install from one version to the other .. but it is not meant to be something done often, as each time it has to download a fair chunck of files and it can take a while if your internet conection isnt fast. For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

Ah ok. I could be switching between the two versions multiple times a day (due to different servers being on different branches), so I guess it's best if I keep the two versions installed in full.
