When I map the canopy switch to either a toggle switch or voice command, the switch stays depressed. I searched the forums to see if this was a common error and didn't find anything. I've been having this issue since day one. The keyboard controls act kind of the same way; I have to hold the keys down in order to close the canopy, but I just have to key in the command to get the canopy to open. Assigning it to a button works, but acts the same way. Since the actual switch is a 3 way toggle, shouldnt it act like a 3 way toggle? Id like to eventually map this to a 3 way toggle on my throttle.

You can already map this to a 3-way toggle on your throttle. Take a look in the bindings, there should be an OPEN/OFF and CLOSE/OFF binding or something similar.

The reason for the weird button behaviour is the way the real switch works in the jet. Its spring loaded to the centre position when you're closing the canopy but it latches in the Up position so the pilot can just flick it to up and doesn't need to hold it for it to continue the canopy opening process.

Ok, so that almost works like you said it would. Canopy switch open/stop and canopy switch down seem to be the only combination that works on a 3 way toggle (and it is a spring loaded toggle). I do have to keep the toggle switch closed in both positions if I want to open or close the canopy, but at least I can latch the octopus when I let off the toggle switch. Thanks for the assist.
