Hop over to http://www.memtest.org/ and grab a pre-built ISO, burn that to a CD and use that to do a full RAM-test. Granite Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 Same thing happens to me, exactly similar crash messages. I am using E6600, Geforce 8800 GTX, 4gb ram, 850W PSU, Vista Ultimate 32-bit. I have clean install, latest patches on game and everything in my hardware. Memory should be okay. It is Orthos -memorytest stable, and my rig runs Crysis and HL2:EP2 just fine for hours. So far it seems that the crash occurs mostly in mission editor, when there are large number of groups, and weather is graphic intensive ( cloudy / storms ). Mods / no mods, or running the game as XP compatibility mode, / admin, doesnt seem to effect it. This maybe just an illusion, but I think the game runs slightly more stable when I run it on one core only. CTL-ALT-DEL > task manager > process tab >locate Lockonexe > right click it >set affinity > one core only. I posted on similar topic in Lockonfiles forum. Maybe a coincidence but seems most people having crashes are using vista-nvidia geforce-dualcore CPU triangle ? I keep tweaking and if I find out something that helps I post here. Granite Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Thanks Tez, tried and no luck. I have narrowed down and it seems most fault modules are "Stackhash" something and "ntdll.dll". It occurs mostly when weather is cloudy / stormy, or night.. and also when there are large number of AI groups. Running lockonexe as admin, in compatibility mode, etc, doesnt really seem to effect.
