Track IR problem

I'm having a problem with Track IR. I delete the file out of my config folder and start the game, My track IR does not work, so I go back and find out that darn folder is back inside my config folder again. It's a vicisious cycle and I can't get it to go away. I'm patched up to 1.12a and it won't stay gone in any of the versions. Is there another one I'm missing somewhere. I even use LoCfg and check the delete TIR file and it won't go away. Help please, I'm goin nuts.:dunno:

Every time you go into the LOCKON options menu- you must delete BOTH the input and config "track ir" files, then simply restart the sim to bring back the tracking.

 

They are supposed to be there- you are simply reloading them fresh.

I thought there were two files I just could not for the life of me remember where the hell it was. Once this thing gets done defraggin I will see if'n that does the trick.

I use a bar file to do this for me:

 

@echo off

DEL Config\TrackIR

DEL Input\TrackIR.ini

START Lockon.exe

EXIT

 

copy/paste this text into your lockon.bat file located in main lockon directory then make your chortcut to start lockon to this lockon.bat file instead of lockon.exe

Interesting, I've never such problem with TrackIR.

I don't know why I didn't think about this from old DOS programming days. I often have problems with my TrackIR and I am going to try this solution out. :thumbup:

Its simple really to stop this problem happening -

 

NEVER EVER START LOCKON WITHOUT FIRST STARTING TRACKIR.;)

It only seems to come up after going into the LOCKON options page. Forgetting to start your track IR before Lock on does not bring on this bug. At least- not that I'm aware of.

There is only one way to find out.

Its starting LO without TIR, then exiting LO and starting TIR then LO that does it for me.

If I start LockOn, ALT/TAB and start TrackIR... TrackIR won't work for me :noexpression: After that even if I exit LockOn and start it again, TrackIR still won't work in game... I have to exit both LockOn and TrackIR software, then start them again... in propper sequence :music_whistling:

Oh yeah- I gotcha now. If I forget - I have to exit LOMAC completely before starting TIR.

I think theres some confusion - What im saying is that if you start LO without TIR then the 'delete files bug appears' the next time you try LO with TIR.
