silentbob11 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Hi I'm new to the viper, and an F-18 veteran :) Just wanted to know - no JDAMS. JSOWS, HARMS and MAVERICKS for the viper yet? SB11 CPU: intel Core i7 9700K ~ 3.6 GHZ , nVidia RTX2060 SUPER, 32GB 3300 Mhz RAM, DELL 24" LED. Windows 10
Emmy Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Nope. Likely not until 2021. Hornet is now the priority so Viper is playing second fiddle. silentbob11 Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 Nope. Likely not until 2021. Hornet is now the priority so Viper is playing second fiddle. Bummer... :( SB11 CPU: intel Core i7 9700K ~ 3.6 GHZ , nVidia RTX2060 SUPER, 32GB 3300 Mhz RAM, DELL 24" LED. Windows 10
deadpool Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Mavericks might come shortly and ED has said that some things will trickle in throughout 2020 for the Viper, too. But just don't expect it or get your hopes up. See if that what you get works and learn to love it. Cupra Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Bummer... :( Where is the problem? Actual it is an early access version which means you can fly around and be lucky if other stuff works too. :music_whistling: You can be disappointed if there is no change when the Module is released as finished product. But until this point.. take whatever you get :smilewink: If they move the focus all the time we always will get 80% finished modules.. that would suck much more  So let ED make the Hornet ready first, and then the F-16.. if finished in 2021 or 2022 does not really matter. Darcwaynard Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 They do have a dedicated programmer on Mavericks so maybe the viper will still get some love along the way. Honestly once it has Mavs and JDAMs I'd be happy to watch the systems and sensors get picked at along the way. Yellow04 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) 2 Days ago the German GameStar Posted a video about DCS on their Youtube Account. In that Video an F-16 already carry the AGM-65. Really hope to get it soon. Edited April 26, 2020 by Yellow04

Really hope to get it soon. That is footage from the launch video of the F-16 from last year. The AGM-65s shown are just there for the footage and are not functional. I am really really REALLY bored of this early access argument. The only modern jet fighter in the game that is *NOT* early access is the M2000. If you just declare everything early access and never finish it loses it's value due to inflation. That said, the F-16 was promised to have a seperate team and be finished in 2020, now it most likely won't be on much at all during 2020. Early access or not, I can understand his frustration. But you just have to suck it up and live with it sadly. Or play one of the alternative F-16 sims if you don't mind missing out on all the rest that DCS has to offer. --- Just to clarify: I don't count in the FC3 planes as they lack the simulation depth.
