Is there a way to turn off pilot voice?

hello

 

am using voice attack and want to remove the pilot voice over when i issue a command to the wingman or talking to atc...etc. (i.e just want to her the reply)

 

is there a way to do that in dcs 2.5.6?

There is.

Start the mission, DO NOT pause.press Alt+tab. Go to DCSWorld/Sounds/Speech/

In each different language folder change the name of the folder "Player" to something else. Eg: "Speech/ENG/Player" to "Player000" etc. You have to change it in EVERY language, otherwise your pilot will start speaking in different language.

 

press Alt+tab again to back into the game.

 

When you finish the mission, exit DCS World and change back all the player's voice folders to "Player".

unfortunately i tried viacom before and was too complicated to setup and every ED update it gets screwed somehow ,ill try rookie's method

Why don't you come on over to the VAICOM thread? I'm sure we can sort you out, and I hate to see you miss out on this fantastic piece of software!

This needs to be implemented. I don't want to hear my virtual pilot saying things for me, and I don't want my human wingmen in multiplayer to hear communication I've just made over comms repeated by my VP. Practicing communication and brevity is half the fun of flight simulators.

 

A simple checkbox to disable the player's voice would be appreciated. The other sim has had this feature for years.
