[Ourorborus]

As an Australian I would love to see the "Pig" recreated in DCS.

 

Known as the Aardvark to our US cousins, the Pig was an iconic "flagship" of the RAAF for several decades.

 

Operational service included Vietnam, the Gulf and Libya.

 

The Pig had several unique design traits including swing wings, side by side seating and ejectable cockpit. It also had terrain following radar allowing very low level approaches to a target and could reach Mach 2.5 at altitude.

 

I was fortunate to be in the tower for their last sortie and would love to try my hand at the wheel so to speak. The F111 would also give virtual F14 RIOs some variety by sitting in the Nav's seat.

Yeah! Its actually a difficult plane to fly, and has killed a lot of crews in its service life. With wings fully swept back, rolling has to be carefully done. It has a tendency to keep rolling, once upside down, wont unroll. Issue was such that Air Force (US) prohibited assignment of aviators with less then 1000 fast jet hours to F111 as pilots. Many First Leutenants and Captains out of fast jet flight training, went in as BombNav, then transitioned into pilot.

Would love to see the F-111, if anything it's some variety among the current module pool.

 

For me I'd like to see an F-111F, with maybe a C as a variant. With an EF-111 as AI.

Id find it absolutely fascinating and it is a plane which to my knowledge has never been modeled/flyable in any detail in any combat sim.
