Nealius Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 I want to clarify that this happens ONLY in the Viper. I have no tracking issues in any other module, in the VR menu, or in the WMR virtual house. Only in the Viper. Whenever I look left and down, even slightly down, I will lose tracking and the view will spaz out like it's switching to random snap views for a second, then goes back to "center," which is not actually center. Always left/down, worse if I look past my 9 line. Even when not moving and looking straight ahead, the VR head position seems to flutter around slightly as well. I don't know if it's related or not, but I also don't experience that flutter in any other modules. Just the Viper. Only in the Viper. Never in any other modules or VR software. Does anyone else have this issue?
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 11, 2020 ED Team Posted May 11, 2020 Strange, cannot reproduce here using a vive cosmos, and the cosmos isn't great at tracking :) Wonder if you adjust your head position with RShift + RCtrl +Numpad* to bring it forward if it will help you? let me know Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Nealius Posted May 11, 2020 Author Posted May 11, 2020 Would moving forward or backward help? I notice the default position seems quite a bit far forward, but that could be because I'm sitting in an upright chair without the incline that the Viper's seat has.
HayMak3r Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 this is going to be hard to track I think, but I can sorta confirm this? I run the rift S now, and also tried the quest, Looking left down like during normal startup. Looking over to test the FLCS. that can do it. I just always pawned it off as the inside out tracking of these hmd's. as I came from the rift, and never had that problem. It doesn't matter if the room is completely lit up, or if there is barely any light. looking back right to turn on the other systems never does this. I also do in fact have to reset my view way more than I used to. I do not have any other experience with other aircraft with the rift S though. I have solely been flying the viper since getting it. Incline of the seat should not matter for your view point as far as I am aware in DCS. Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
