VFS-31 website hacked

I got back to the computer and tried accessing our forums. It said could not connect to the database.....well, I logged into the FTP and the database file was missing. What more than can I guess, somebody hacked our FTP. It is back up and running now off a backup database file.

Our site (504th) has been hacked again,:(Ive no idea how they do it but they are explioting some sort of weakness that the server guys dont know about, and if its happining to another squad, maybe its a wake up call to be on your guard.

Its so childish as well, attacking flight forums,what perverse kick they get out of it I know not.

LOL, the ftp is the easiest access to kill your server. Also ssh is open, rpcbind (!11!), mysql!11!!!!!!. No wonder it got hacked - it would take 2 min on google and a command console.

You seem to really know what you are talking about,:thumbup: Maybe you and other like minded squad members should form a commitie to support all squads in dealing with attacks,also as a bonus maybe good for inter squad relationships?(so they can make sure there sever provider is using the latest proventitive measures.)

We all need to pull together on this,to put a stop to these attacks.

EDIT: Before anyone brings up the emaculate Holy Lockon Multiplayer, I'm aware how LOPE can really ruin it for others. I looked over their site and didn't see any indication that they're going online in an attempt to cheat, just a bunch of F-14 enthusiasts. There's no reason to make fun of them.

er... when someone carries R-77's on aircraft that can't carry them, or AIM-54's or full load of R-27ET's... and goes to "fight" online... I think it deservs a bit of "fun" :book: ANyway, it was funny how he said "it won't be tolerated"

I like how the ones from 3Sqn just started this UP AGAIN. And also the bs remark I didnt need.

 

If you want to show screenshots of my screw ups that I regret doing and DID apologize about it, thats one thing. But when you guys get into the position of saying that trying to attack my squadron intentionally and having "fun" DOES NOT APPLY.
