Recluse Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Question: Was in a Mulitplayer flight with 4 CLIENT F/A-18's all with same Waypoints. I wanted to setup a BULLSEYE WP, so I used the HSI DATA function to add a WP with BULLSEYE coordinates. Actually, I never got to set the BULLSEYE. Once I created the Waypoint, I verified that when selected it went to the right place. The other Flight Members now HAD that Waypoint, but when selected it didn't seem to point them in the right direction. If a member of the Multiplayer FLIGHT sets a Waypoint in Flight, should everyone else be able to see and follow it? If it DOES get set as AA WPT (BULLSEYE) do all Flight Members have it set? Will try again setting it as AA WPT but it was disconcerting that not everyone had the same heading to the selected WP.
Creepy Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 No, the waypoint you manually enter (or simply just have selected from preset waypoints) in your jet does not affect anything in another aircraft. Each member has to do their own system setup.

It was interesting to me that the other players could indeed toggle to WP 12 even though it had no Location Information.
VFA41_Lion Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 why not set an existing waypoint as a bullseye wp?
Recluse Posted May 18, 2020 Author Posted May 18, 2020 why not set an existing waypoint as a bullseye wp? I could have but most of the existing WP's had other functions. Also, if I understood the original reply, even if I changed an existing WP to the BULLSEYE Coordinates, it wouldn't transfer to the other jets in the flight. Next time I will just do it in the MISSION EDITOR to put a WP over the BULLSEYE that everyone can then designate as such, but I hadn't done that so was trying to do it in flight. EDIT: OH. you meant just pick a WP and designate as BULLSEYE for reference. Yeah..THAT would have worked for everyone... somehow I thought you had to match the in game BULLSEYE point.
Bunny Clark Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 ... somehow I thought you had to match the in game BULLSEYE point. It does if you want Bullseye calls from AI units, like an AWACS, to point to the same place. If you're only using the Bullseye within an all-human flight it does not matter.
