robnpat Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 I am wondering what I am missing. After I am in AA mode, sometimes I can go back to NAV and sometimes I can't. Is this a bug, or am I missing something? I use the same 'procedure' each time, and sometimes it doesn't work. Any advice would be great. Rudel_chw Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Next time it happens to you, save the Track and attach it here, so that you can provide more clues to reproduce the issue. Frederf Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Make sure that you aren't confusing AA master mode with the DGFT or MRM overrides. Confirm the DGFT/MRM switch on the throttle is centered and then alternate presses of the ICP AA button should select and deselect AA master mode. There's also a way to change master modes (AA/AG/NAV) in the DED if necessary as a backup.
Harker Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 (edited) Are you sure you didn't accidentally leave the override switch on the throttle in the MRM or DGFT position? Edit: Sniped. I'll keep this in mind, and maybe post a track like Rudel_chw suggested if I still can't get it. robnpat Posted May 22, 2020 Author Posted May 22, 2020 Just did a 'quick' flight against 3 SU33s. I attached a track file as I still couldn't get it back to NAV mode. Not sure what I am still doing wrong. Frederf Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 You were in MRM or DGFT when you pressed the ICP AA button all times except the first time shortly after takeoff but then it appears you applied MRM override by the throttle switch very shortly after. The text near OSB#1 on SMS format will indicate the mode. In AA the OSB label will read "AAM" while in MRM will read "MSL" and DGFT "DGFT".

I think I'll replay my track and see what I done and correct it.
