Game not loading properly

Most times I try to run the game my screen gets stuck on the DCS version page, the first page you normally see, and I have to shut it down with Task Manager. Out of 10 attempts to run the game it happened 8 times, to give you some idea of the frequency of the error.

 

HOWEVER, when I take a screen shot of that first page, I dont get an image of that first page, I get an image of this page instead, but obviously I cannot see that on my screen so I have to crash out of the game and try again.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this.

You could try renaming your saved games\DCSWorld or similar folder and starting it again.

 

DCS will recreate the saved games folder. If it works then you can copy the stuff you need like the Config\Input, Tracks, Missions, Kneeboard folders into the newly created one.

That didnt help, same issue persists. Sadly its now 9 out of 10 times is fails to get past the first screen.

How much RAM and which GPU?

 

When I have crashes from time to time it seems to be related to RAM or GPU memory issues.
