Hello,

How does one set the quantity of weapons to be released when using the GBU38?

If I check the Stores page, I see the QTY listed, but no apparent way to modify it?

You can adjust the values using the ODU/UFC or the switches under the left MFD.

Depends if you are trying to use TOO (Targets of Opportunity) or PP (Preplanned) targets. With TOO (using the TPOD) you are unable (at the moment, if not ever) to release more than 1x JDAM per pass.

With the PP you dictate the number of JDAMs dropped by using TGT (targets) on the ODU, then you select the relevant Target number (from F10, or other method of planning), up to 10x JDAMs per pass.

To set up the T1, T2, etc. You will need to populate the CAS page, or "upload" to your CAS computer (RShift + RAlt + 8 ) T01, T02... comments from the F10 map.

Hope that helps.

Is there any way to populate the CAS page with T1, T2 target points etc without using the F10 map? It kinda breaks realism for me

Do it as part of the mission planning (hence Pre-planned targets) or have a human player do the FAC job and the marks. The "upload" is basically the simulation of the FAC sending you the coordinates via ATHS over radio...

No options on the ODU, switches under the left MFD have no effect.

Could you elaborate on this process for me please, I'm using PP mode. I'm not sure I have a QTY option anywhere once the targets are loaded into CAS or selected on the ODU.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply however it doesn't seem to answer my question. QTY is set at 1, as can be seen on the stores page in the video. My question was how do I set QTY to a value greater than 1 for a single target.

Since the system works with one JDAM per target point, the way to assign multiple bombs to a single location is more like a workaround than an obvious implementation.

Take the same coordinates and enter them multiple times, with different TGT# for each instance.

So, the lat/lon/el for a point would be entered in the CAS page, USE as TGT 1.

Enter that same lat/lon/el as a new line in CAS page, USE as TGT 2.

Then, when in STOR page, select the JDAMs then above push the button for TGTS.

Put a : in front of both TGT 1 and TGT 2, then cycle to EXIT.

In HUD, you should see N12 meaning both are designated.

Release when within WEZ and you should get 2 bombs dropped and guiding to same location.

You can also do this using the F10 map marker method, by placing multiple marks on the same spot.

tl;dr - you can't assign multiple bombs to one target, but you can assign multiple targets to one location. Then one bomb per target.

Good luck!
