jojo Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Guys, maybe this is an issue with AGM-65E. The launch procedure just changed in the Hornet, maybe it broke it for the Harrier. Not long ago a beta update broke AIM-7 for F-14B, and it was on ED side. That kind of thing happens from time to time. I can't be 100% sure, but maybe it isn't Razbam fault if something is broken after OB update. Mirage fanatic ! gallorojo Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Same problem here. Uff, the last OB has been terrific, F16 broken, AV-8B broken....

Recluse Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 (edited) Interesting... I finally bit the bullet and installed the Open Beta (right after today's update). Was anxious to see the LMAV bug so I tried it. FOR ME I had a whole other issue. In the Stable release, I can designate a Target with the DMT, then switch to TPOD and the TPOD will look right at wherever the DMT was. This time, The TPOD was off pointing WHO KNOWS where. Spent so much time trying to figure this out, I never fired an LMAV :) EDIT: Just tried again in OB and it all worked as expected. Not sure what happened the first time. Move along, nothing to see here :) P.S. I did experience the LMAV not tracking like everyone else. Can someone confirm before I send it to the BUG section? What I did: (works in STABLE release but not in OB) - Designated Target WP. DMT snaps to the target WP - Slew DMT to desired target - Go to TPOD, take out of STANDBY. -IN STABLE, TPOD POINTS TO THE DMT TARGET -IN OPEN BETA, TPOD POINTS WHO KNOWS WHERE.... NOTES: I noticed that the TARGET WP had the default elevation (6562 ft). In the HORNET, this WILL cause the TPOD to point into space if the elevation is not correct for the GROUND TARGET, but in the HARRIER, the DMT doesn't seem to care, and, in STABLE Release, it picks up the DMT target just fine either with or without additions slewing to another target. I haven't tried to correct the WP elevation to see if that affects the TPOD pointing despite the DMT pointing to the ground. I slew the DMT to another point, so I would think that would over-ride any WP Designation error on the TPOD. Edited June 12, 2020 by Recluse
Tippis Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 I don't have any tracking or launching issues, either after the latest build or before it. However, the LMavs currently seem to have the flight range of a rudely shaped turnip thrown by a cantankerous puritan after a night of heavy drinking. The engine goes for maybe 5 seconds and then it just drops out of the sky — it require some really fancy lobbing to get it past 3nm. ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. Tippis Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 My point is, I'm not entirely sure how much of it is a tracking issue and how much is a flight dynamics problem. There are a lot of reports of all kinds of laser-guided weapons not guiding well, so it could readily be a mix of both: tracking is flaky — it either doesn't take at all, or it seems to be lost after just a few seconds and the weapon ends up falling (way) short. ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. One cannot land; the other shoots friendlies. You are a Goon. ❧ ❧
Eviscerador Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 It is a tracking issue guys, just look at the tacview on any of your test flights. Once you launch the missile it enters ballistic state. If you want to compare the situation, just go to stable, fire the maverick and turn off the laser while on flight, you will see they behave the same. I hope it gets fixed soon. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Zeus67 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Hello folks. The LMAVs not tracking issue is a DCS problem and ED is looking at it right now.
