cthulhu68 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Not sure if its Normandy only or global but ships used as static objects are below the surface. Strangely it only happened a couple times with LST MK IIs but Higgins boats are always sunk in a mission I made previously.
=Mac= Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Not sure if its Normandy only or global but ships used as static objects are below the surface. Strangely it only happened a couple times with LST MK IIs but Higgins boats are always sunk in a mission I made previously. Eagle Goddamics is a company expert in military aviation with little experience (until recently with the new aircraft carrier lines of little boats). So, for those who are interested in preventing marine disasters such as what cthulhu68 has reported, I refer you to the SOLAS regulations. When it comes to constructing near self-sustained floating vessels, there comes a number of regulations to be followed so as to maintain the structural integrity and safety of the vessel while sailing in the ocean waters. The ship should be safe during the entire period of her service along with routine maintenance in place. These regulations which have been framed after careful scrutinization and the lessons learnt from past incidents lay the stepping stone towards safety during the crucial phase of ship construction and in effect during the entire service life. In its 87th session, IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) adopted Goal-Based Standards (GBS) and guidelines (which deal with bulk carriers and oil tankers) that gave the organisation a role to frame rules in accordance to SOLAS requirements. The process consists of an internal and external audit wherein the design and construction rules should correspond to the adopted Goal-Based Standards (GBS). Tier IV- Rules and regulations for ship design and construction outline detailed requirements for the design and construction of ships, conforming to the goal and functional requirements. So... there! :book: The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
cthulhu68 Posted June 6, 2020 Author Posted June 6, 2020 The vessels are seaworthy...I just forgot to select the insert drain plug option in ME.:smilewink:
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted June 8, 2020 ED Team Posted June 8, 2020 seems to be correct for me, can you add the mission or track replay thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? cthulhu68 Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 Here's the mission. It happens in OB and Stable so must've started with the 2.5.6 update that got pushed to Stable
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted June 9, 2020 ED Team Posted June 9, 2020 tested in open beta looks ok, if you are on stable and seeing this the next update will resolve it. It should be noted if the sea is choppy or there is a large swell the ships wont move with it, so sometimes it may look like they are swamped by the sea. A request for sea physics has been made, but this will be a long term task. thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing? cthulhu68 Posted June 9, 2020 Author Posted June 9, 2020 You should see some Higgins boats around the LSTs in pic provided. These were visible up until 2 5.6 so dont think its the high seas swell issue. I had the latest OB version (p47-channel map released) and saw it in that version too so dont think its resolved.
cthulhu68 Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 This issue was fixed somewhere between latest stable and current beta.
