Sublimearrepentido Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 On say the f14 you can force your gear to drop with a hydraulic pump Is there any such system cor the jeff? I cant find one
Rudel_chw Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 Did you try the yellow handle on the right Console "EMG LANDING GEAR" ? I haven't tried it yet. AeriaGloria Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 It works great, but I can’t figure out if it’s pneumatic or using EMG HYD Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
Sublimearrepentido Posted June 7, 2020 Author Posted June 7, 2020 No i didnt even know that was an option thx ill look. Still trying to.. learn
Chiron Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 TBH i didn't try it and i dont know what is the situation that require using emergence landing gear i just drop my speed to 500 or less and use my normal lever
Tiger-II Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 I thought EMER GEAR was gravity drop? Motorola 68000 | 1 Mb | Debug port "When performing a forced landing, fly the aircraft as far into the crash as possible." - Bob Hoover. The JF-17 is not better than the F-16; it's different. It's how you fly that counts. "An average aircraft with a skilled pilot, will out-perform the superior aircraft with an average pilot."
L0op8ack Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 It works great, but I can’t figure out if it’s pneumatic or using EMG HYD pneumatic but gas have to use the same actuator, so if you break your actuator by gear down at high speed (mostly), pneumatic can not help you.
Sublimearrepentido Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 Ahh this was exactly the problem i encountered was jammed landing gear probably.from high speed. Ok.
Sublimearrepentido Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 And this emergency gear key is on the right console? Emergency hydraulics ( the switch near shars) was on..
JCae2798 Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 My landing gear failed once. I believe the front wheel came down hard when taking off when i didnt push back on the stick enough. Once in air i couldnt get the gear back in 100% or to come back out either. Couldn't figure out the EMG gear process
[VFA-106] Glacier Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 If that happens again, you might try slowing to under 300 knots and attempting to raise the gear again. If it's only drag preventing it from raising, that should work, but not if there's physical damage.
JCae2798 Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Yea thanks, tried that but it was most likely due to damage from the hard bounce.
