Like we can mark our position on waypoint charts, to have a separate page where key details from JTAC (and Marshall?) could be copied automatically or at a press of a button. Would be a great help, especially in VR.

Thanks. Can I only use the copy feature from 3Dmigoto? I see it is not compatible with Kegety's shader mod...

You might want to ask the dev, but I'd expect that you should be OK, as long as you don't try to use the graphics enhancements of both mods together.

Maybe just give it a try.

Personally, I've now done loads of JTAC missions using the copy/paste bit that i would never have been able to do, without taking off my headset and writing the coords down.

I installed the mod in the latest OB, but none of the keyboard shortcuts work...

RCTRL+K (iirc) marks your position on the ingame kneeboard charts, it's kinda like a cheat since it works even when all F10 map options are disabled.

As to the others, if you have the extra 50 dollars you can get a drawing tablet and a VRK tool so you can DIY the kneeboard pages. I know it's not exactly what you're looking for but it's another tool in a box. edit: note that this only works in VR, you may want to look in to it before you go shopping

I know that, and I don't want any such mods. I'd like to have the coordinates saved natively in the game. It should not be too difficult for the devs to implement. For starters, they could just make the 9-line stay on screen until the user clicks on it to close.

For VR users I have found the excellent VR Kneeboard by Egon "Rider" Carusi to be a perfect solution for this. I use it with an old WACOM Bamboo tablet on my knee and write down 9lines and Inbound info as they are spoken to me, just like I would in RL. I just wish there was a "say again" function for when I miss something.

I know everybody is trying to help here. Thank you for that, but..

some of us aren't fond of using mods and, talking for myself here, I'd rather have:

  • Either ED include functionality like this in their core game
  • Or ED test user made mods and if possible implement those in their core game

Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate all the effort that people put in these mods and some appear to be absolute gems. But more than once, my DCS got corrupt after updating and due to mods (I'm talking about stuff like falling through the ground, messed up textures, game crashes). Every time (so far) I was able to solve these errors by throwing away all mods and doing a cleanup/repair.
