Refueling probe on or off / question about missiles in MITL instant action

Ok.. first I have to guiltily admit.. i cant refuel. In anything. Lol.

Soo. Removing the probe.. does it affect rhe fm? If so how much? The extra viz is nice.. but theres something cool about the probe.

In MITL.. first is there a range limit? Should I be orbiting until missiles near the target then turn tail???

Second I noticed if I didnt fire the missiles soon. I.e. within first 30 seconds.. they didnt want to fire

Is this a mission thing like I crossed the border?

Or am I missing an envelope on delivering the weapons??

This missions messed up anyways - its a GB6 job

Probe slows you down.

GB-6 like all bombs have release restrictions, check the manual or Chucks guide

MITL pod has 280km range, check Chucks guide or manual for more info in how MITL works

Im using the guide and vids. Obviously in my literal 1p yrs of dcs Ive seen errors in all of the manners listed above. Forums too nut theure the best source.

Dont think i didnt check otherwise but the forums is ALWAYS where the real gold is - even if the golds ONLY a link elsewhere

I don’t have links or the exact numbers, but don’t go over Mach .9 and 28,500 feet, and stay within 45 degrees of up or down pitch, and release above 1G like any plane

Thx good to know. I didnt care as much i just was curios if it was bugged or what.

I really like the plane its just mastering her and lesrning what is wip or non functioning.

Ive frankly given up trying to refuel. I cant with the f13 and thats my best plane. I click with the. Jeff and i can get right up the refuelers butt but they never acknowmedge precontact.

Oh well. Theres MUCH more to learn i n the interim

And Im dismayed. Some of my dce campaigns stopped working for no reason :(((

I wish it was but it isnt sir. If you look at sayt he last 5 pages of dce camps rheeas youll see the coders directly.giving me help etc etc

I screened many errors

I have the latest versions. I suck at comps but im not a total.fool. they were working and just. Stopped one by one. And i didnt change anything..

I will say of course 2.9 or whatever goi g to stable.. well ya. But miguel iirc sent me 3 scripts and it seemed to fix it.

Then tomcat went. Now tf 74 and 68 :((((

Someone tried fixing iran irak for me . Nope

I cant even BRIBE someone to fix it for me right now LOL not joking.

are they rejecting precontact or are you not getting anything back from them?

make sure you are pressing "t4: radio comm 1" and not the "communications menu" bind.

if you are being rejected, it might help if you start faster than the tanker, throttle down, then make your call as the speed drops.

Whoa wait why not press the reg comms menu???

They answer and say return to precontact

Thing is i do the real life pre contact (off rhe side a little back) nope

I do the dca pre contact (as in i fly as humanly.close ss possible?) Return to precontact. Idk maybe i just never hit the "box"

I think part of it is them detecting you are there in the first place. It seems a bit hit-and-miss, even with a perfect approach.

Because your radio message won't go to the correct frequency, and thus the tanker won't hear it.

As for distance, I've had to be a few hundred feet behind the tanker before they'd ready pre-contact for me. The tankers can be frustrating in how close they want you before dropping the basket.
