Are you using PD-STT or P-STT ? In PD-STT, the bandit can break lock fairly easily by notching (MLC) or going cold (ZDF), but not in P-STT

Either, though P-STT does seam more stable close in.

Have you tried keeping the bandit high above the horizon?

That may be it. Early on pstt was super unstable and resulted in a loss of lock all the time so I turned it off in the settings. I’ll try and switch it back. Thanks!

My pleasure sir! :captain:

Even if you lose STT the radar will enter flood mode and still guide the missile. I think you need to flip the ACM cover for that.

Aye, and use the TCS lock to point the flood in the right direction. It has saved a few Sparrows for me as well

100%, get underneath your target... makes a bit difference in AIM-7M success rate... and pstt when possible. When inside the balistic range, AIM-7Ms are working better than 54's for me, right now... if the enemy even hints at turning toward 90, and dumps chaff, and the aim-54 goes right after the chaff (but i digress).
